If you having an event, the Glenn County Fairgrounds is the place for you!
Conveniently located in the heart of Orland, the Glenn County Fairgrounds sits on a 45 acre site. It serves the County of Glenn as the 42nd District Agricultural Association's center for presenting the annual Glenn County Fair held during the third weekend in May.
The Fairgrounds boasts of its true County Fair atmosphere and is the hub of the County's entertainment, social and educational events. The grounds are designed to accommodate a wide range of activities including Auto Racing, Horse Shows and Equine Events, Livestock Shows and contests, Flea Markets, RV Trailer Groups, Picnics, Dances, Weddings, Dinners and a myriad of other special events.
The Fairgrounds is also home to Northern California's own Railroad, "The Orland-Newville and Pacific Railroad," featuring a model narrow gauge railroad with tracks that run through the fairgrounds. This one-of-a-kind experience is also available to rent for your next party.
The Fairgrounds is neat and clean, well maintained with plenty of grass, shade, trees and beautiful landscaping. There are adequate facilities to meet the needs of every type of event; plenty of parking, electrical hookups for RV groups, commercial kitchen facilities for food preparation (Glenn County Health Department Certified) and beautiful settings for outdoor venues as well as numerous of buildings of all sizes available for rent.
The Fairgrounds also has an extensive grouping of historical buildings that have been relocated on the grounds, representing much of the "old time" flavor and history of the region.
